The Makoya Group of Companies acquired Meter-It in 2017. All skill-sets within this entity were transferred into a new company called Makoya Utility Services (Pty) Ltd .
Historically – the pedigree of Meter-It was born out of a merger between two companies SUMS (Gauteng and Natal) and MeterMaster (Western Cape). The objective was to establish a national footprint for both companies. The individuals in each, all have significant track records, both in the private and public utility sector.
